Barbara predominately uses acrylics on board, producing an abstract or impressionist piece of artwork, letting the free spirit in her right arm do its own thing.

However she also enjoys being more disciplined with watercolours or trying to capture the essence of places in the world she has had the opportunity to spend some time.

She likes experimenting with different surfaces and mixing media to get different effects or accentuate individual features.   She relishes the challenge of finding the "right" combination of surface on which to make the art: paper, board, canvas - medium watercolour or acrylic paint, ink, pastel  - colour:  too infinite  - tools or ways to apply the colour : brush, cloth, pouring, credit card, odd bits of vegetables, and texture collage, modelling clay etc.   

The possibilities are infinite as there are no rules and it is a matter of what feels "Right" for you and hopefully others with whom the result resonates.
