Wet Felt Making Workshops with Liz Broderick
Liz Broderick, a qualified art teacher that specialises in felt will take the workshop. There will be a maximum of 6 'students' to ensure you have full attention.
All materials are included, but she specialises in embedding silks etc. into felts and if you have specific materials you want to include you are welcome to bring them along.
The aim is to complete an item and have a knowledge of felt making.
Day will start at 10.30am and go on until you wish to leave, usually around 4.30pm.
There will be coffee, teas and cake on tap all day. Plus a light lunch included.

Nuno-felt Cowl/Neck Warmer £70 all included
Sunday 15th February 10am - 4pm A beautiful fusion of fine fabric and the finest wool. We will be using Margilan silk:
Superfine Merino wool; an array of materials with which to create a unique surface on your piece. You will leave with an amazingly soft, warm, colourful cowl, designed and crafted by yourself |

Play with wool and fibres £60 all included
Wednesday 25th February 10am - 4pm Many, many choices to be made - so much fun!
You may choose to work in abstract or pictorial; to create one larger piece or several smaller ones. Completed pieces can be framed; stitched into; beaded. Your pieces may become coasters; mounted on cards ( which will be available); mounted on canvas …so many possibilities. This is a chilled workshop where you can experiment, play, share ideas and enjoy your creativity. ps without feeling like a “beginner”. |

Bird Pods £70 all included
Saturday 7th March 10am - 4pm A container or a decorative sculptural piece with an attached ‘tail’ to enable you to hang it up. Hang them from trees filled with wool fleece and the birds will be delighted as fleece makes a cosy lining for a nest. Created around a ‘resist’ for a seamless structure, these pods can be made in natural, undyed colours or brighten bare branches with colour.

Vessels - £70 all included
Wednesday 15th April 10am - 4pm In this workshop you will be working with a RESIST to create a seamless, 3-D vessel . The pictures show a set of mini- vessels (so much fun) created with the same resist but using different wool types and surface decoration and this affects the finished size. However, you may decide to create a larger vessel with a different shape and whatever surface design you choose. These vessels have many uses - but they are perfect, unique little sculptures in their own right.
